Impact of Social Media in our daily life

Some years back we all know about sending letter to our relatives by post and I used to do the same to write a letter in a proper letter pad and post it via postal service and I liked that because it was fun and you know that someone care about you when they reply you back. I had many pen pal friends in Pakistan and abroad like in Japan, Canada, USA and India. But where are they gone somewhere where is that Letter writing I think always big fish eats small fish so Email is the big fish here which eaten out letter writing habit most of the people these days don’t use Postal Service for mails they use only for billing and Greeting Cards purposes which I will come back later to this point.

Emails are fascinating to us just single click and hey words travelled to 1 mile to thousands of miles. So on the other hand letter writing is dyeing as bills and statements are becoming paperless as well. So here I am going to discuss other what other big fishes eating small fishes.

Emails:

Yes we just talked about Email which took over the letters but hey what Emails are going to die soon as well so who is the Big fish here Social Media websites like Facebook, Orkut and others. These days I don’t receive much email than Messages and posts from friends they think it is easy to ask just drop a message on facebook, scrap on Orkut and get reply. So is this mean Emails are going to die yes why not sooner or later we are lazy we want something to do just as simple as possible. Most people use social media website more than checking emails.

Party Invitations:

Ok this is another small fish which cost some money but still I use to love by sending Invitation card to invite in parties but what now we don’t need it we can create event in Social Media and just invite everyone and guess what the benefit we can receive the acknowledgement fast as well and can find out easily who is coming and who is not.

Greeting Cards:

So do we need to send Greeting cards na I don’t think so just wish your friend on their wall or scrap it with some nice animation or image or either send them e-card which we don’t use that often as well.

Phone Calls:

Ok this is not going to die soon but we are using it less to call to friends because we can easily find out how is my friend doing by just looking into his status on Social Media.

When I ask this question to everyone they just give me one answer this is GREEN world I accept this but don’t you think we are getting use to for too much technology. I will love if my friends send me a card or letter on their own hand writing or any of my family members than an email or message.

I still try to send greeting card to my family so they can feel what I feel for them and this is best way I can show how much I care.

I think that is true because we are sorta lazy and social media has made it easier for us to communicate.
