January 2010 snow fall in UK

What a night mare I just can’t understand that UK is one of established country and can’t cope with this much snow this week (First week of Jan 2010) was already predicted for worst snow which were heading towards London from South so everyone lives near London started preparing themselves for daily goods and starts filling their fridges I just behaved as normal because I always do my shopping start of a month and stock all the goods for daily use.

On Tuesday 5th of January the snow was predicted to start from 21:00 but still most of people rushed from work so they can reach safely to home I left on time my trains usually don’t have problem unless and until it is raining heavily or snow fall. I already know that from today I might not be able to access my car it is really dangerous to drive for me in this condition.

Nearly before midnight it starts snow showers but slow ones and my son really enjoyed it he loves snow when I woke up next morning everything was bright white my train was

not running so I text my Manager about it and he advised me to stay home I did some work from home and My took my son out for some fun he walked on the snow but it was so cold out there they both made a snow man which was really creative.

After this lovely day main night mare started the roads are full of black ice and paths ways as well when I went out next day to work I barely can walk the council didn’t use glitters in most places they should be using it specially on main roads and signals but they all are covered by black ice which is really dangerous for all walkers. I really faced the worst month as far as travelling is concern most of the days this month was working from home not able to travel to work due to trains cancellations. Now yesterday I was listening to BBC news and another round of snow coming to London again this Wednesday (17th January 2009) so let’s hope for the best.
