Experience delivering supplies from UK to Pakistan for flood victims: (Phase 1)

My friend called me one day and told me about Fakhr-e-Alam’s show how can you send supplies to Pakistan flood victims from abroad and PIA offering free cargo. I was amazed and started looking my options but at first phase it was not that easy as most of the people didn’t know about this. I called PIA cargo London and they told me to contact Ismail Amer from Goldcross for more information as he can guide me better ok so I called him and asked him the procedure and also dropped him an email. I was looking to start collecting money from my friends and colleagues here but before that I want to make sure that it will deliver to right people. After a while on same day I received an email back from Ismail explaining about the procedure and that I need to pay £15.00 for documents and £25.00 for Export Custom Clearance but if I can’t afford it PIA will pay for that hmm not a bad start but I was not convinced still something missing and I started tweeting to the people I know can explain me they told me to email several people which can help me out and I started dropping emails and finally I received email back from pksafe@piac.aero from captain Salman that they are issuing a fresh instructions to all offices was happy as I was getting replies pretty quick and I was also looking to send these goods as soon as possible to my brothers and sisters. After a short while I received an email again from GoldCross and send me a link of a page which had all explanation of procedure I called Ismail as well he is a great guy and helpful. After the call I decided to start collecting money which was smooth and I know so many people here in UK they looking to send some money but can’t find any resource they can trust. Me and my friend collected money and decided to go to Costco store.

My team :) I was taking pictures

Now it was a mission to find milk powder as people here in UK usually use skimmed milk powder and we were looking for full cream one so we called that day off and decided to go next day to Asda or Tesco to find milk powder. The next day we did shopping for Milk Powder and Sanitizers and finished packing the supplies in boxes.

In the middle of all this we also face one issue that suddenly PIA refuse to accept any dairy product due to custom issue WTH is this we worked hard to collect these powder milk and now you are telling us. But finally Ismail Amer from Goldcross managed to resolve this issue for us. Allah bless his he is really doing great work here for us.

Finally we booked a Van from Streetcar from Finchley location and delivered it to PIA Cargo Terminal 4. We met another guy there who came with his daughters to deliver some boxes they collected from friends to Pakistan was really amazed but shocking news was that there were two planes cancelled to take Cargo from UK to Pakistan due to some custom clearance issue and now we have to face some back logs. Sent details to Ali Abbas from PYA and now waiting for delivery confirmation to Pakistan will post Phase 2.

Two Brothers in Rajanpur

I watched this video in facebook shared by my friend and I found it’s insane how someone can treat their own sons like this. Father said he bought the cow to give healthy life to his son can someone ask him is this is Healthy life weighing more than 90KG. I have a son and I love him as well and want him to live healthy life but not to weight this much even though the father know that he can’t afford for that long what will happen when they come out from Milk diet and asking to have proper food to full fill their diet. Think about this.
